After reading lots of forums contributors, my 2 cents :
a) I think the first thing is ban those people who advise separation of interests or make invidual groups in forums.
As if things happening in india are not enough to divide people on all fronts, a new separation criteria is created here on EB1/EB2/EB3. A lot of us are very creative..wow !!
b) Initiative needs to be well spent and well thought. Its a forum for ideas and further on implementation. So, its for everyone. Taking initiative is not bad, go ahead, but walking tall on other peoples misery is not really very cool !!
People are waiting for 10 years in line, come on..think, if this happens to all of us..
c) Legal and illegal efforts. People accusing core of bank accounts withdrawls and all that nonsense, do not need any rebuttal.
The harshness of things is creeping in people, but pls. some sincerity is also needed.
I thank all of you who have worked hard for the benefit of all of us.

I dont have GC depression just irritation but when other things bother me I just run it out sometimes. Also, there's so much to be done so once you get busy full time and especially weekends so just try and keep yourself occupied and your mind away from the stuff that bothers you. Ofcourse 10 years is a long time and there's no justification for this but hopefully we can solve this mess thru iv so this ugly vb mess is confined to the dustbins of history forever.

Hmm, urs is a unique case, but as far as i can tell u need to have FP done, that is the process, your lawyers may be able to help, have u contacted them?
Paper filing is fine and its not slow, usually paper filers dont get FP notices.
I did contact my lawyer. They have put in a SR but that's not helping. I was hoping the EAD renewal will kick it but looks like paper based doesn't kick it..
Argh!! This waiting game seems helpless..

However if someone takes the company to court based on "Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986" vs hiring an H1B, how can the company legally defend itself against this law ?

Dear admins,
I think deleting my post was not fair. The other people who have been bashing us with MS degrees need to also have their posts deleted.
I was not offensive in anyway, I just pointed out the reality of the situation and that is not "being offensive."
If you are afraid of alienating some of your contributors, well then by deleting the posts of ppl with Masters degrees you risk alienating them.
If I offended the admin personally if he/she does not have a masters degree, I apologize for hurting your "feelings" but that does not allow you to delete my post .
Finally, since 99% of the time the admins come back with not relevant to the thread, I agree on that ground but respectfully request the deletion of posts by a bunch of others like the "hiring manager" who instigated this discussion.

I think the whole thing was started by the guy (GCsucks) by addressing people who attend U.S universities as "Kids" and I agree with "yabadaba" that this is reality and we were just pointing out what the issues are. If it's a case of sour grapes then may be that guy should vent his frustration else where or easier GET HIMSELF AN ADVANCED DEGREE IN THE U.S

In this thread there are lot of folks who changed employers using AC21 after 180 days I-485 is pending.
Did they ever travel to thier home country using AP after switching employers from the orginal GC sponsoring employer?
Where they being harassed at Port of Entry by Immigration Officers why siwtched employers and travel on AP?

I sent my 485 to NSC on JUL 3rd, my 140 approved NSC, no receipts from
TSC yet. Does any body got receipts who applied on JUL 3rd...?
If your 140 Approved from NSC then you should get receipts from NSC. Not from TSC.

May god give you the courage to handle the stress and resposibality you have now.
I keep trying to convince.."Did i realy read that posting or was it just a bad dream"..unfortunalty its not a dream..!!!
Do get it checked from well know doctors. Here is a youtube version of comenecement speach given by Steve Jobs. Even he was diagnized with cancer and he spent whole day thinking of his resposibality. But that evening the doctors realzied it was curable cancer and were in tears ..!!!

Point is very simple: If a person has a valid job offer then by all means go ahead and apply for H1 from any status (be it H4, F1, B or Z...) but if you don't have a proper job offer then please don't apply for the H1 visa through a body shop as you are taking away a valuable visa #, which unfortunately are very limited.
