USCIS people rejected the Application. Now the application is with my Attorney. So which option I need to select the for the taking the Info Pass appointment. My Attorney is telling if they accept the application and they put any RFE so that we can take the Info Pass appointment is it correct?

Doesn't hurt to record conversation though - the most that will happen is that the lawyer will say that it is not admissible in a court of law.
If the other party came to know that the conversation was recorded, they can counter sue.

I am in the same boat as you.. See SLUD on both bases on 09/01/09 with EAC08** pending at TSC. Waiting.
Will add companionship i am at TSC with an EAC receipt no and still waiting wherein i see that they are approving cases with Dec 04 priority while folks with Jul 04 are still waiting. The RD and ND is useless too as i am seeing aprovals for folks who mailed there apps after me one guy posted on IV that he filed I-485 in 2008 with Dec 04 PD and got approval. This seems like last year where they completely ignored 2004 folks and approved 2005 and 2006 cases. I do not have much hope this month either.

GC is for future employment but I-140 is not GC. I-485 is Adjustment of status to Permanent resident (GC).
If you leave the company prior I-140 approval. I-140, I-485, EAD & AP are canceled.
If your I-140 is approved and I-485 is pending for more than 180 days, then and only then, you can switch company using AC21 while still keeping your I-485 pending.
Mind you, I-140 is not your application, it is employers!

I believe the only reason EB visa numbers have gone unused in recent years is due to the the inability of FBI in completing namecheck/background check in a timely FIFO fashion. As a result USCIS is unable to approve pending I485s even when the visa numbers are available. This also keeps the VISA BULLETIN doors closed for new I485s.
This (besides labor backlog) spoils the FIFO for GCs.
Fixing FBI security check process will end such visa bulletin fiasco. I believe in recent year or two USCIS has processed various applications (including I485) in a very timely fashion (ofcourse there are exceptions). But many I485s get stuck in the security check bottleneck. Since, visa number is assigned at the approval time the whole FIFO goes to hell.
DOS should be issuing VISA BULLETIN based on pending approvable I485 (meaning security check complete) and fiscal year visa availability. If former is smaller than latter then bulletin dates should move forward based on approved I140s which have not applied for AOS. This is not rocket science but simple math which is lost on DOS, USCIS & FBI.
However, fixing FBI security checks (timely completion) will restore FIFO once labor backlog is gone.
FBI delays is the prime reason for this fiasco.
BTW my AOS is pending due to indefinite background check delay.

I have no idea what Mr. Chopra is talking about, as far as I know US administration has become more foreigner unfriendly in last 10 years and Obama administration is even worse. i don't know of 1 friendly law passed in last decade.

I am using AC21. I start my new Job on Monday. I have had an independent attorney of my own for the past 3 years from whom I get a second opinion from time to time. I have already hired them for my AC21. I really liked the attorney I was working with through my old employer as well and at this time I do not know if my I-140 will be revoked. My employer will keep me in the loop with anything. My attorney has already prepared an AC21 package. Take a look at Page 3 of the Yates Memo. I am planning to apply for both Canadian Permanent Residency and US green card next month. Assuming that I get my Canadian Permanent Residency and US Greencard after two years, what options do I have to maintain the permanent resident status in both countries, so that I am eligible to apply for citizenship in both countries.
Some say that showing proof of residence in both countries, commuting between the countries for work (Windsor-Canada and Detroit-US) and paying taxes in both countries would suffice.
Please guide me on this.

Canada needs 3yr PR for citizenship while US needs 5. I feel it wil be issue while border crossing. US is very strict and they may take GC away.Take canadian citizenship first and then apply here. Thay way you can have both.

Forget worrying about about CNN and Lou Dobbs. They are NOBODY and of no significance for the quest for immigration reform.
If CNN drops Lou that will not pass CIR or recapture. There are so much Lou Dobbs are there in USA. It is a waste of time.

Just wait for CNN to drop Lou and Fox embraces him. It will be just in time when CIR comes back on radar.
If you have been even remotely following the healthcare debate, the fewest (however idiotic or uninformed they are) make the loudest noise, scaring lawmakers. THAT is guaranteed to affect you and I (well not senthil as he already has his GC).

You should try for emergency appointment & should be able to get it based on approved 797.
By the way, my Canadian PR is maturing & I am asked to pay landing fee & do the medical by 1st Jan 2007. Can I pay the landing fee in time but delay the medical without compromising Canadian PR ? I want postpone my landing. Can you please share your advise ??

I mean i filed without both of those. Theyare required in the 140 phase , not in 485.
But keep them handy - in case they wants mail by next day air

I don't think 655K is a lot. Remember, 655K is for both EB and FB.
Now every year USCIS approved about 700-800K AOS, that mean they
can clear the 655K in less one year, why 655K is a big number?
